This is a basic description of the world. Will be updated as it goes
The world of my story is split into two: The Sky and The Ground.
The Sky is where the main characters live. Islands float in the air, and people travel with airships and planes. Three groups control the sky: Empire, Guild, and Sor'ran/Mystic (all three of these will be changed in the next few weeks).
The Ground is unknown to the people in the Sky. It is something only discussed in legends and myths. However, people still live there, existing in darkness and cold, being warmed by magma flows and ruled by a group known as Faction (this will also be renamed).
Splitting the Sky and Ground is Maelstrom, a powerful storm covering the entire planet. The storm is incredibly powerful and nobody is known to have survived making it through. Dangers include powerful, constant lightning and thousands of years worth of debris. The easiest way to describe this would be a hurricane full of tornadoes.
