This is my MacGuffin, the thing everyone wants in my story.
This magical object (currently known as the Artifact (catchy, huh?)) contains all of the information related to why the world is the way it is.
It can explain why the islands fly (and how to make them stop flying), the Maelstrom (and how to use it as a weapon or stop it), and the reason why the world was split.
The object works by asking it a question, and it puts the knowledge into the owner's head. The object can also learn something that the owner already knows, allowing it to be filled with more knowledge. Unfortunately, it only works in its original language, which is unknown.
